Nothing that cannot be proven can be called truth.

  • Therfore with that logic, atheism is a dead duck as are many scientific theories which are beyond absolute proof, such as evolution or its current take on cosmology. None of them are then truths or provable

  • Are you fucking kidding me? Scientific theories are not absolute truths. In science a "theory" is a detailed explanation, or means of making predictions, about natural phenomenon based on experiments and observation, which is revised when new data warrants. As apposed to religion, which calls the idiotic nonsensical ramblings of ancient sheep herders the inerrant word of God, and therefore absolute truth.

Atheism, like any other philosophical viewpoint, can never be called an absolute truth, but neither can any theist viewpoint. And that is the real point, just because religion claims to have a monopoly on absolute truth doesn't make it so.

  • Nonetheless, religionists still each refer to their particular rediculous belief system as "the truth" despite a complete lack of evidence.
